7. Easy Maintenance

Remember how we said we don’t want to spend our weekends cleaning and maintaining a huge home? That’s because we’d much rather be spending our time doing the things we love. So when we’re building a home, we want it to be easy to take care of.

To appeal to this generation, make sure your home has low-maintenance features like durable flooring and countertops, easy-to-clean appliances, and an automated sprinkler system. We also appreciate homes that don’t require a lot of upkeep, like stucco or brick exteriors.

8. Price Does Matter

Price matters when it comes to purchasing a home, especially for Generation X. This generation is now in their mid-30s to early-50s, and many are still struggling to save for a down payment, let alone come up with the necessary funds for a monthly mortgage. Many experts have said that this is due to student loan debt and other financial burdens that were not an issue for previous generations.
