Details

  • Plan Code: PHD-2015012
  • Beds: 2
  • Baths: 1
  • Floor Area: 53 sq.m.
  • Lot Size: 64 sq.m.

Santino is a small house design in a two-storey layout with a floor area of only 53 sq. meters fitted in a 64 sq. meter lot area. This is a part of the series of low budget houses offered by PHD for low income families. This specific design model showcases the following features: aluminum framed glass windows, a strip of vertical wall highlighted with marble extending to the ceiling of the second floor, glass wall shielding the two sides of the staircase, attractive lighting system that surrounds the gate and the perimeter of the house and a steel gate that encloses the property.

The charm of this petite design begins with a covered porch which opens to the living room. Right beside the living room is the dining room served by the small kitchen. The staircase is wrapped and framed with glass on two sides that enhances the aesthetic level of the structure apart from the fact that glass offers more natural light and increases the visibility factor. A single bathroom is provided to serve the whole house and completes the ground floor. The space at the back serves as an extension of the kitchen activities and other family tasks.

The left side is a firewall built to make the most of the available space. A garage which is roofed separately from the main house is also provided on the right side with inclined driveway. The second floor is simply designed with only the two bedrooms of average sizes featured due to limitation of the size. Each bedroom though is provided with individual walk-in-closet.

Small as it may seem, this small house design has delivered a classy appearance brought by a combination of marble, glass wall, lighting system and choice of color mix. Architecture works on this model as the frontage fence and layout technique makes the house look bigger than its actual size.

Certainly, this type of home will be a brilliant choice for families looking to build a smart and cost efficient residential house which is not larger than what the family needs or what the available space can offer. The advantage of this design is it needs only less power to heat and illuminate which suggests great savings on energy. This small house design as well will demand lower maintenance costs.
